Hi everyone!
Finally, I'm slowly getting back into this whole blogging routine again (sort of!) And my most popular posts are always ones I base around hair - so hows about that for a comeback post?
Once again, I have finally had my ombre retouched for the summer and it is blonder and bolder than ever! I'm in love with it even more now and I definitely want to keep it as vibrant for as long as possible! I have tested this routine every other time I get my ombre re done and it seems to work really well for keeping the colour in for an extended amount of time. Recently, I know a few people have been switching their hair up lately (colour wise) and they look so wonderful, so I don't want them to lose the gorgeous colour(s) that they've dyed it. So i some ways this is like a little guide to what I use to keep in my colour, to see if it works for anyone else.
The products I use to keep in colour are both the VO5 Cherish My Colour shampoo and conditioner combo. I used these products both from the first time I had my hair done and I will now always always go back to these! They cost me something mad like £2.99 each from Savers (bargain!) What I love about this combo is that they're both light and don't weigh my hair down like the Dove intense range does. (If you want to know my hair wash routine, you can click that here!)

After washing my hair, I left it to dry in a towel for around 10 minutes. After taking it out I brush it out with a wide tooth comb and then use the VO5 Smoothly Does It on the ends of my hair. This acts as a moisturising heat protectant which prevents frizz and protects your hair meaning that colour stays in for longer too (plus it leaves your hair feeling incredibly soft!) This product is activated by heat so once you blow dry your hair, it begins to work! Optional step: a spray in heat protectant will also stop your hair looking limp and dull - not the best thing when you want it to look bright!
So if you want to keep you're freshly dyed hair in tip top condition then these are the products I recommend to use! (All these opinions are my own and have worked with bleached ends of hair.)
