I hope you've had a wonderful Easter break & if you don't celebrate it, I hope you have had a lovely weekend off! This weekend has been packed full of exciting things and I'd love to share them with you.
But before I get into this, I have exciting and surprising news! My friend Jasmine has had a blog site for nearly a year now and I didn't have any clue! Beware everyone: I'm going to be helping her with a YouTube channel for baking and I think it may be extremely fun and amusing! So please please please check her site out: A Cupcake for My Thoughts! It's so lovely to read and she is a lovely and bubbly girl and it really shows through on her posts.
Now let's talk Easter!
Cakes & nails!
I've got into this bakery malarc (well the pre mixed stuff and you bake it) and I've missed making little treats for myself! So on Friday, me and mum took a trip down to Tesco's and I brought some Red Velvet cupcake mixture. Just a side note: what is a red velvet flavour?! I also thought they need a bit of decoration, so I convinced my mum into buying some hundreds and thousands as well as icing pens! This was going to be a disaster, I knew it from the start I'm not a natural born baker like some people!
So after finishing the cakes off, I also brought some false nails to wear for the weekend! I don't have/ never had long nails through my life, they break so easily. I brought some false ones to make them look nice-ish and surprisingly they turned out okay (for a first timer!) But they were so incredibly long I spent half an hour trying to file them down. PS. false nails are weird…
What do you think of it so far?
The show was called Morecambe: the man what brought us sunshine and it was so good! I felt like I was at the live show back in the 70s and how the actor remembered all the words was crazy! It included the story of their lives and even sketches that they had done in the past! I loved it and I don't care if its weird, I love their show and they never have failed to make me laugh!
Happy Easter!
This lead onto a gorgeous roast dinner but I wasn't surprised, my aunties food is always great! We also had gorgeous variety of desserts: dads chocolate birthday cake (wasn't too nice for a pre brought cake!) bread & butter pudding and an aray of easter chocolates (my favourite!)
The conversation went onto prom, my auntie and cousin were intrigued to see what my dress was like (no spoilers for you guys though!!) Then this led onto after prom dresses! Now my cousin has hundreds of dress and they were all completely gorgeous and she's given me a dress to wear at after prom/next party! Thank you Abigail! Then the prom conversation went onto hair, and my hair received a fishtail plait and it looked so beautiful!
Unfortunately all good things have to come to an end and we soon had to go home, but it was such a fun and lovely evening!
