Hi everyone!
This week has gone so slow, and it feels like this post has been waiting years to be posted (which is a lie as I did it this week!) Firstly though, how do you like the new logos on the site? Did you notice the header of the site is now an image? Let me know in the comments what you think! So anyways, this weeks hair tutorial is now in my top three favourites and its done by using kitchen roll (or paper towels.) It's so so simple and the results are beautiful - so with that being said lets get into it!
1. Section your hair into 2 parts (top half and bottom) and split the sections into two over your shoulders.
2. Brush out any tangles - this will make the curls more smoother and will look a lot nicer!
3. Either start with 3/4 air dried hair or grab your spray bottle filled with water and damped your hair.
4. (OPTIONAL) As I wanted the curls to last all day, I added in my gel spray along my hair which saves me having to hairspray it later on in the process!
5. Grab your kitchen roll. Depending on your hair length, the amount of sheets joined together you'll need will be different. I needed around 3 - 4 as 2 wasn't long enough
(To make the kitchen roll strips - pull out 2+ sheets of kitchen roll which are all joined together. Then fold the joined sheets inwards so that you still have the length of the kitchen roll - they will just be a lot thinner!)
6. After placing the strip of kitchen roll on your section of hair, start to braid. It's known as a figure 8 braid but I'll try and explain it: With your hair, pull it UNDER one side of the kitchen towel.
7. Then, pull your hair OVER the other side of the kitchen role. Now to get over to the other side of the kitchen role - on the side you've pulled your hair OVER you now need to pull it UNDER that same side and then OVER the other side... I hope that makes sense! It's basically like a french braid except you go around the sides once more!
8. Continue down until you run out of hair and tie the end of the kitchen role with a hair band. & then repeat on the 3 other sections of your hair!

And you should end up with lovely curls! Theres two options to get the look: you can blow dry your hair on a medium heat for two minutes to give you softer curls OR sleep with them overnight and get more voluminous results in the morning! I hope you try this and let me know what results you get!
