Hi everyone & Happy Halloween!
I have been struggling so hard this year to find what to wear on Halloween this year and what I should go as! But literally a few days ago I finally got an outfit which then meant - how am I going to do my makeup?! Now I'm not one to spend ages on doing makeup for Halloween, so this is my fairly quick and easy tutorial. I am going to show a simple version of what I will be doing tonight and you can use this as well if you have no clue what to go as! Lets get into it!
Step 1:
Firstly, I moisturised and primed my face like I would normally do for a 'party' look. Since I am being a zombie, I used my L'Oreal True Match foundation as its a little bit paler than my normal skin and it will sort of make me look as if a bit of blood has left my body making me look a bit dead(ish!)
Step 2:
Next, I started making my scar/cut for my face by using PVA glue and tissue paper. Peel the tissue apart making it a one ply piece of tissue. Then tear your one ply piece of tissue into rectangle strips. Put some PVA glue on your face the same size as your piece of tissue paper then lay a strip on the wet glue. Layer this up when its tacky to about 3 pieces of tissue (use PVA between the layers so they stick.)
Make an incision through the middle of the tissue without touching any of the edges to make your outline for the cut. Once it's all dry cover the white tissue with your foundation to make it look like skin, then fill your gap (which will be your cut) with fake blood, red lipstick, black eyeliner etc to make it look very grim!

Once it's all dry cover the white tissue with your foundation to make it look like skin, then fill your gap (which will be your cut) with fake blood, red lipstick, black eyeliner etc to make it look very grim!
Whilst my poorly DIY scar dries I then start to do my eye makeup. I wanted to go for a look which included irritated and dark eyes to make the look come together a bit more. To begin with, I took a red eyeshadow from my Accessories You Are Everything palette. With my blending brush, I put the red over the eyelid in the crease and under my eye. I done this really rough as I didn't want it to look all neat and tidy like it would on a normal party eye look.
Step 3:
Step 4:
Then, I take the dark blue shadow from the palette and start to highlight out my dark circles (as if I needed too!) I concentrated the darker blue near the inner corner of my eyes then as I began to drag the navy out, I used the lighter blue to make out that the eyes had lightened up a bit (like it normally would!) An optional step is to use a black shadow and just put that under the waterline of your eyes to give your eyes a bit a depth. Also, the aim of this look is to not be neat - you're meant to be a decaying body! Using the red and blues, you can also blend these around your nose.
Step 5:
After this, I added a bit of black creme makeup around the DIY scar and fake blood to make the scar come to life. After doing this, I grabbed my bronzer and put that in random spots over my face. Why? you may ask - I thought it would make it look like dirt or something since zombies don't exactly wash very often!
Extra steps:
For added extras of the look, I added concealer on my lips to make them look dry and pale then I smudged the fake blood around my lips to look like I've just eaten some human or something... And I added some fake blood dribbling from my nose - just to add a bit of gruesome to the look. Then my face is complete!
And this is the look I should be following tonight (sort of!) On Monday, I will post what I did at Halloween along with the final look! I hope you try this out maybe tonight or next year, and let me know in the comments what you think!
